François Lépine

Originally from New Brunswick, François Lépine is a bilingual (English/French) lawyer who graduated with a BA in Political Science from the University of Ottawa in 1998 and went on to earn his law degree from UBC Law School in 2001.
François was called to the Bar in 2003 and spent several years as a sole practitioner in criminal defence before transitioning in 2011 to a prosecutor and trial lawyer role, representing the Public Prosecution Service of Canada (PPSC).
As a prosecutor, Francois advanced the public interest by handling federal prosecutions in Provincial and Supreme courts all across British Columbia. With experience in hundreds of cases, François managed a broad mandate that included tax evasion, money laundering, fisheries habitat, and complex drug conspiracies.
After more than a decade in prosecution, François returned to his roots in criminal defence in November 2024, where he is committed to advocating for clients with dedication and expertise. His vast experience, combined with his unwavering commitment to ethics and professionalism make him an honor to have aboard the Moes & More team.
Outside of law, François enjoys a range of hobbies including dragon boating, sailing, kayaking, reading, crosswords, puzzles, and long walks on the beach.
